Software
Destination Direct software is available in three versions: Demo, VFR, and
IFR. The demo version does not let you connect to duats or save any flight
plans, pilot setup or aircraft setup. The VFR version restricts the flight
plan to using direct or VOR to VOR auto-routing. The IFR version will use
low-altitude or high-altitude airways to auto-route the plan and can optionaly
select SID/STARS.

The latest release is 4.7.6.
Planning a flight
Each flight plan begins with the Preliminary Plan screen. The program will
remember the last aircraft and pilot. The default departure point is the home
base of the aircraft which can be changed in the aircraft setup.
Type PWK into the destination field and use the tab key to finish entry.
A great circle distance will be displayed.
Next press the Plan Flight button.
A typical flight will use the default values which are associated with the
aircraft. They can be changed in this dialog box if desired. Press the continue
button.
The flight has now been planned using low altitude airways. A brief summary
of the route is display and compared to the great circle route.
The following views show more information about the flight plan.
